Website Usability Tests

With our quantitative website usability test, you will find out how you can optimize your website or a user journey using real behavioral data. We select around 100-200 people from your target group and give them a task to be carried out on the website. During the test, the click and mouse behavior is recorded. After the test, the users assess your website with a standardized questionnaire and give personal suggestions for improvement.

Use Cases

Our UX test focuses mostly on quantifiable metrics, but also contains qualitative information. Our UX test can be used, for example, for the following use cases:

  • You have an existing website and want to better understand how it is viewed by potential customers
  • You want to know how different target groups use your website (e.g. customers vs. non-customers, men vs. women, etc.)
  • You want to measure customer behavior on a specific user journey (e.g. product order, account opening, etc.)
  • You have several alternatives to choose from and want to know which one performs better (A / B testing)

Analytics Tools

We generate a copy of your website and install various web analytics tools there. Your original website is not affected by the analytics tools. We are free to choose the tools and are more than welcome to use those that you already use in your company. We usually recommend the following software:

  • Web Analytics: Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Matomo
  • Mouse tracking and session replay: Mouseflow, Hotjar

After completing the test, you will have access to the relevant platforms and you can carry out your own analyzes. You can also view and download all session recordings (video recording of each user session)

Reporting

The reporting distinguishes between attitude-based (attitudinal) and action-oriented (behavioral) results. With the combination of both you get a holistic picture of your website.

  • Attitudinal: Here you can find out how the target group subjectively assesses your website (user friendliness, clarity, comprehensibility of the content, etc.). You will also receive numerous comments on strengths and weaknesses of the users.
  • Behavioral: We summarize the web behavior of users on the most important KPIs and create the most important heat maps. You also get access to online dashboards, where you can view web analytics data, heat maps and session recordings.
